Audio God Moments

Scripture Union’s WordLive resource is an attempt to make the Bible accessible to as many people as possible by using audio and visual techniques and an online presence. The idea is to help long-time Christians find fresh ways of engaging with biblical texts, while offering new believers bite-sized chunks of teaching.

This CD has a sample of some of the resources with passages from Matthew, Haggai and Hebrews. Each track is an individual study and meditation aid that lasts no more than 10 minutes.

The studies are at times thought-provoking and helpful. However, the limits of trying to cater to as wide an audience as possible are obvious. The veteran believer probably wants more ‘meaty’ theology, while the novice could have many questions about a passage.

HIGH: Hearing some innovation in teaching styles (and some regional accents!).

LOW: Some of the moments are a bit cheesy – but that’s the risk with any sermon.
