Bigger Barn, 12 New Bible Story Songs

Hello, my name is Brad and my kids are addicted to Ishmael. There, I’ve said it. Every car journey for the past couple of weeks has been accompanied by Ishmael and 12 New Bible Story Songs. They’re great first time round, even the second listen is fine…but children have a never-ending thirst for silly songs, and have no idea what the word repetitious means.

The stories are taken directly from the Bible with titles such as ‘Ten Silver Coins’, ‘Wolfy Wolfy’ and ‘The Bubbling Pool of Bethesda.’ The songs are catchy and rooted soundly in biblical truth, but musically you have to grant this album a little bit of grace; it’s a kid’s album, so although your children may be happy listening again and again (and again), parents may well be grateful when bedtime comes, and can sit silently in a darkened room. Great biblical stories that your kids will adore.

HIGH: Kids will love it again and again.

LOW: A few weak musical moments.
