Review:

Tear down the walls

Hillsong has become a major worldwide music brand, with all the trapping and professionalism that comes with this. But despite the popularity, the quality has never dropped and the passion for Jesus has remained strong and inspiring.

Tear Down the Walls is a stormer of a CD. So good are the songs, that it is nearly impossible to pick out a highlight. Hillsong United score so well because they marry up the trademark sound of the band with an ability to appeal to new believers and old.

Two tracks stand out: ‘Soon’ which is gentle and melodic, and old favourite ‘Your name high’.

If you’ve never listened to modern worship music this is a good place to start. If you are an old hand, you won’t be disappointed.

HIGH: Excellent performances all round

LOW: If you don't like noise, bring your earplugs
