Review:

Running After You

Ben Cantelon, former worship pastor of Soul Survivor Watford and recent addition to the Worship Central team at HTB, is probably best known for his collaboration with Tim Hughes on ‘Happy Day’.

Running After You, Cantelon’s first full length solo release, is an impressive album which firmly establishes him as a songwriter in his own right.

Many of the songs are great for congregational worship, although the style and arrangements make sure that this is not seen as just your average worship album. Musically it is a diverse album that has a strong Coldplay or Embrace influence to it, although it in no way feels old or unoriginal.

Top tracks are ‘Hallelujah’ closely followed by ‘Jericho’, although every song is a winner.

HIGH: The change from acoustic guitar to electrobounce on ‘You Alone’.

LOW: It’s only ten tracks long.
