Review:

The Y Course

The Y Course is committed to matching ‘the message to the audience’. Starting further back than similar courses, it tackles questions such as ‘Is there meaning to life?’ and ‘Does design and order give us clues about God?’ as well as offering excellent, compassionate sense about suffering and other religions.

The eight week course is a journey of discovery about Jesus and is an ideal means for building bridges and answering questions from people influenced by postmodernism.

Core content is in The Book of Y which is understandable without being simplistic, and covers all the major theological truths which are biblically, anecdotally and humorously supported. The supporting DVD has 16 six-minute discussion motivators, but the chat show presentation is slightly static; extra supportive video would enhance it.

HIGH: Makes the facts of the faith accessible in a jargon free way without losing their biblical credibility.

LOW: The cover design is unexciting.
